Product Engineer-Electronics  (RASL-006)

At our R&D site in Babraham Research Campus, Cambridge we currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Product Engineer-Electronics  to work on exciting projects and in return you will have a rewarding career.

About the Job:

We are looking for a Product Engineer-Electronics to join our growing team. The successful applicant will be responsible for the design and building PCB prototypes to be used with the organ-chip systems.

Education / Qualifications:

Applicants should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics, Product Design or Electrical engineering.

Experience:

  • A strong understanding of analogue & digital circuit design including System/ Microcontroller / Microprocessor interfacing
  • Experience in the use of Altium Designer schematic capture software.
  • Practical skills in assembly and debug of electronics
  • Practical knowledge in the sensors and medical electronics sector will be an added advantage for this role
  • The ability to work with and contribute positively to multidisciplinary design teams, and be able to operate proactively on an individual basis if required
  • An excellent academic record with a 1st or 2.1 degrees in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from a top university.

Specific expertise in the following areas would be advantageous:

 

  • Design techniques for sensor interfacing.
  • Design techniques, including ASIC design.
  • Analogue modelling and simulation tools.
  • Power electronics, including power supply design and motor control.
  • Design for manufacture, test, cost and reliability.
  • Multidisciplinary system design skills.
