Mitochondrial Research: Challenges and Opportunities for Clinical Translation
We are organizing our first meet-up event on Thursday, 3rd October @ 6:00 pm at the The LAB, 90 Regent street Cambridge CB2 1DP. It will be a very casual event. We focus on drug discovery and biological research. However, we are a very inclusive group. I don´t know about you, but for me, it´s lovely just to talk with people who enjoy science. It´s a great opportunity to ask questions, explore research areas and unleash your curiosity.
Stem Cells & Applications for Drug Discovery
We at Stemnovate are excited to announce we have another meetup for Friday 6th October!
If you're interested in the following topics:
- Stem Cell Therapy: Discussing how stem cells are used in regenerative medicine and potential treatments.
- Drug Discovery Process: Understanding how stem cells play a crucial role in identifying and testing new drugs.
- Disease Modeling: Exploring how stem cells can be used to create disease models for research purposes.

Stemnovate at Bio, 2023 : Boston Stand Up for Science
We here at Stemnovate were thrilled to attend the Bio23 conference in Boston from June 5th-8th. The conference was held at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center and featured a wide range of talks, workshops, and networking events.
One of the highlights of the event was the great networking opportunities that were available. We met with various international pharma and biotech professionals, which was a fantastic opportunity to share ideas and learn from others.
A Way Forward To Clinical Translation
During Covid, several success stories emerged where products entered the market at an unprecedented speed.
Partnerships help bring together great talents across academia and SMEs, and industry.
In addition, these relationships can help adapt cutting-edge technologies, such as new drug discovery techniques, tissue engineering and machine learning.
Come and share your experiences, and we'll share ours at The Grain and Hop Store.
Alzheimer’s Disease: understanding research and clinical translation
We are organizing our first meet-up event of 2023 on Friday 3rd March from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the 36 St Andrew's St, Cambridge CB2 3AR.
There are over 850,000 people with dementia in the UK (Alzheimer's Society, 2019)—approximately 1 in every 14 of the population aged 65 years and over.
In 2040, there will be over 1.5 million people with dementia in the UK at the current prevalence rate.

This event is to network, connect and share your science with like-minded. And offers great opportunity to ask questions, explore research areas and unleash your curiosity.
Supporting Animal Welfare
The animals experience positive and negative feelings such as pleasure, pain and distress. The Animal Welfare (Sentience) Bill formally recognise animals as sentient beings.
During COVID, several pets found new companions at home, but sadly this followed abandonment. As a company, we provide technology for advanced drug discovery and have animal welfare in our ethos. We believe scientific awareness creates opportunities to reduce animal testing and promote animal welfare.
All you need to do is to come and enjoy a cup of coffee and great company. All the money raised will be donated to RSPCA East Norfolk to rescue animals from cruelty, accidents & injury.
You can support this cause by donating online at the JustGiving page.
